Litlington Athletic 0-6 Fenstanton
A Ben Hall hat-trick helped Fenstanton ease in to the next round of the Cambs Creake Charity Shield at the expense of Litlington Athletic.
Despite the emphatic win, Fenstanton struggled for rhythm in the opening stages, with Litlington looking more likely to score first, being dangerous on the break.
Fenstanton took the lead through a quick counter attack after defending a free kick, Salv Merola was played through and scored his 4th goal in 2 games.
Ross Fairley doubled Fenstanton’s lead just before half time, flicking on a Dion Lee free kick to send Fenny in 2-0 up at half time.
Salv Merola made way for Scott Wilkinson on 55 mins, and Fenstanton soon scored again, with Ben hall smashing in from the edge of the box, for his first goal for the reformed Fenstanton FC.
Captain Arran Balls put the tie to bed bundling in his first goal of the season after Ross Fairley saw his close range effort saved.
Hall was soon back on the scoresheet after connecting onto a deep cross from Ross Fairley with a diving header.
Litlington rarely threatened in the second half, as it was all Fenstanton, and Ben Hall capped a fine performance, by cutting in from the left wing and firing past Litlington’s goalkeeper.
The biggest win of the season and a confident performance from Fenny! 6-0!
